The ship's entertainment scene is outstanding, with Broadway-style theatre shows and cabarets that combine human talent with technical wizardry. Thanks to a huge investment in satellite Internet, Ovation of the Seas offers fast and efficient Wi-Fi (for a fee). It's good to see USB ports for in-cabin charging and the option for RFID WOWband wristbands, which can be used instead of key cards. Packed with bells and whistles, Ovation of the Seas is the third ground-breaking ship to join Royal Caribbean's Quantum class. The list of operational regions (destinations) and exact itineraries for the newest RCI cruise ship was officially announced at the end of March 2015.
NEW DISCOVERIES ON EVERY DECK
Passenger cabins on all vessels in the Quantum series are ~9% larger than those of the world's largest cruise ships - Harmony, Oasis and Allure, also part of Royal Caribbean's fleet. RCI Ovation features the new "virtual balcony" rooms - a live camera feed showing the passing scenery on an 80-inch / 203 cm floor-to-ceiling HD LED screen. The DreamWork experience and the 3D movie screen are among the other WOWs on board. The ship is designed to be family-friendly, with the latest high-tech equipment currently available on the market. The cruise ship features the DreamWorks Experience - a themed programming in partnership with the Walt Disney Company.
ALL CRUISE LINES (1543 SHIPS)
The ship packs in some of Royal Caribbean’s family favorite amenities, including the RipCord by iFly wind tunnel, the North Star observation pod, a rock-climbing wall, and the FlowRider surfing simulator. The Ovation of the Seas pool deck (Deck 14) is ample and fun, with several hot tubs, a family pool and a splash area for kids. However, despite the large number of passengers onboard, staff go out of their way to get to know passengers and make their cruise holiday memorable. Friendly passengers who stand out (in a good way) are treated especially well.

Ovation Of The Seas Itineraries
It also attracts pleasure-seeking, fun-loving singles, couples and groups of friends across the age spectrum. With the ship sailing from the US, Singapore and Sydney, the onboard demographic sees a shift from the US and UK passengers that make up the majority of cruisers on Royal Caribbean's other ships. On April 11, 2016, the cruise ship arrived in Southampton England and was docked at Berth 101 (Western Docks).
The ship berths at the City Cruise Terminal in the Western Docks, where its fleetmates also dock when visiting the city. The first steel for the third vessel in the Quantum class was cut on 18 September 2014, the same day its name was announced to be Ovation of the Seas.[9] The keel was laid down by Meyer Werft on 5 March 2015. Before the first piece of the keel was lowered into place, Adam Goldstein, President and COO of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., the holding company of RCI, placed a lucky coin in the dock. The keel was formed of 74 blocks.[10] The first section was launched on 20 June 2015. The dress code on Ovation of the Seas is casual during the day and a little bit smarter in the evening.

Royal Caribbean offers several options for those planning a trip to Alaska, including Quantum of the Seas and Ovation of the Seas, two very similar ships in the Quantum Class. With indoor sports complexes and covered adults-only pools and sun decks, they’re both excellent options for trips to the north.

On June 24, 2016, was vessel's christening ceremony held in Tianjin (seaport for Beijing). The naming ceremony was attended by Zinan Liu - President of RCI's "China and North Asia Pacific" branch.
However, while Ovation of the Seas' Alaska trips are always seven nights long, Quantum of the Seas also offers five-night itineraries. On January 31, 2013, the new ship class was officially named “Quantum Class”. On this day were also officially announced (for the first time) the names of the first two vessels – Quantum and Anthem. The third vessel (Ovation) was launched in 2016 (float-out from dry dock on February 18). Ship’s Inaugural Cruise (maiden voyage) was on April 14, and the christening ceremony – on June 24 (godmother Fan Bingbing).
